
Young Adults Conference (YAC) Melbourne 2025 - FAQs
Young Adults Conference (YAC) is an initiative jointly governed by Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board (AKYSB), Ismaili Tariqah and Religious Education Board (ITREB) and Aga Khan Education Board (AKEB) jointly known as Youth Coordinating Forum (YCF).Ismaili Camps are known for their ability to bring high school graduates aged 18-25 years old together and encourage the formation of life-long friendships in a fun-filled, supportive, and nurturing environment. Participants from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and the South East Asia region will meet in Melbourne in December 2025 and have the opportunity to engage with a combination of local and international faculty, creating a dynamic, exciting and life changing experience.

YAC has been thoughtfully designed around several core objectives. These goals will be
introduced and explored throughout the camp in engaging, participant-centered ways:
- Encourage continued education, career exploration, and professional development.
- Promote healthy lifestyles with an emphasis on regular exercise.
- Encourage exploration of self and others through music and visual arts.
- Emphasise lifelong service to the Imam, Jamat, Ummah, society, and humanity.
- Provide tools for articulation of faith and understanding of Islamic values.
- Equip participants to practice and articulate their faith confidently.
To be eligible for YAC, participants must be Ismaili youth in ANZ/PNG or South East Asia who must have graduated from high school in 2024 and be between the ages of 18-25 years old at the commencement of camp. Please note there are limited (80) spots available. Registrations will be processed on a first come first basis.
YAC is a 4 day/3-night residential camp held from Saturday 6th December to Tuesday 9th December 2025. Please see below travel arrangements upon arrival in Melbourne, VIC.
YAC will be held at Allambee Camp, 390 Mirboo-Yarragon Rd, Allambee, VIC 3871. Approximately 1 and a half hours drive from Vermont Jamatkhana, Melbourne.
- Participants will be responsible for arranging their own flights to and from Melbourne (Tullamarine Airport) for YAC. It is recommended interstate and international participants arrive by the evening of Friday 5th December and depart by Wednesday 10th December. Host family accommodation can be arranged for interstate and international participants for the night of Friday 5th December and Tuesday 9th December should it be required and transport will be provided to campsite on Saturday morning.
- It is highly recommended that all interstate and international participants, especially those traveling from outside of Australia purchase adequate travel insurance.
- All flights must arrive and depart from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport in Tullamarine VIC.
There will be trained medical staff on site at all times. Registration forms require details of any existing medical conditions and allergies that a participant may have. This information must be provided when filling out the registration form. Participants will be provided with water and sunscreen at all times and will be encouraged to wear hats during outdoor activities. In addition, participants may wish to carry personal insect repellent with them. There will also be a safety team at night.
YAC has a zero-tolerance policy on all illicit drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol. Participants may keep and self-administer prescribed medications. Participants are requested to bring any prescription medications along with the prescription for the duration of the camp.

Registration for YAC can be completed via the “More” section of The Ismaili App. Upon completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing your unique ID. Further instructions regarding next steps and payment will be sent on a separate email. We have included payment details below for reference.

The last day to register and pay in full for YAC is Friday 17th October 2025. However, registrations may close earlier if all spots have been filled.
As YAC will be hosted by an external third-party venue, no refunds will be given after Friday 17thOctober 2025.
